About Bedroom Radiators

Sizing a bedroom radiator

Start with an estimate from our BTU calculator. It uses a slightly lower allowance for bedrooms than for living rooms and bathrooms, and a higher one than for kitchens and hallways. The figure is a rough guide: a bedroom with a large window, an outside wall on two sides or a high ceiling can need more. Where a product page lists a heat output, compare it with your estimate. Outputs are only directly comparable when both products state the same ΔT.

Where the radiator goes

Under the window is the usual place in a bedroom, so this collection leans towards horizontal radiators. Measure the wall space below the sill and leave room for the valves at each end before you choose a width. If the space under the window is taken, a vertical designer radiator may fit a narrow wall instead.

Styles

Horizontal designer radiators

Ranges here include Zehnder Kleo, Zehnder Roda and Reina Flat, with flat and tubular fronts.

Column radiators

Horizontal column radiators, such as Myson Column and Reina Colona, suit traditional and period bedrooms.

Panel radiators

Panel radiators, including Purmo Compla, give a simple, practical look.

Finishes

Finishes vary by range. White and anthracite are among those named in this collection; the product page shows the options for each model.
