Choose the power source first
Central heating
Most towel radiators here connect to a wet central heating system, like any other radiator.
Electric
Electric towel rails are listed alongside the central heating models. Use the Electric link under Towel in the main menu to show them.
Dual fuel
Dual fuel towel radiators are listed too, under their own power source.
Connecting electric and dual fuel models
Some products must be installed by a qualified person. Check the product page and the manufacturer's instructions, and ask a registered installer if you are unsure.
Size and output
Check a towel radiator's listed output against the room's needs. Get an estimate from our BTU calculator, which gives a figure in BTU. Each product page shows its rated output, and the test condition (ΔT) where it is stated. Outputs are only directly comparable when both products state the same ΔT. Outputs of around 3000 to 5000 BTU are commonly searched; see radiators of 3000 to 3249 BTU for towel radiators and other types at that output.
Styles and finishes
Ranges
Ranges include Zehnder Aura, Subway, Klaro and Ovida, Stelrad Caliente and Myson Avonmore, in both traditional and modern styles.
Finishes
Chrome is the most common finish, followed by white. Anthracite, matt black and stainless steel, including mirror-polished stainless, are listed on some ranges.
Towel rail packs
If you want valves in the same order, see our pack deals, which include CenterRail and TradeFix towel rails, in chrome or white, with valves.
