Horizontal or vertical
This range is listed under designer radiators because it offers the same family in two orientations, so you can keep one look across a room or a whole house.
Horizontal sizes
Heights of 200, 300, 500 and 600 mm, with widths up to 2000 mm. The 200 and 300 mm heights are the lowest in the range.
Vertical sizes
Heights of 1600, 1800, 2000 and 2200 mm. A vertical radiator uses wall height rather than wall width.
To see vertical sizes only, filter by orientation. Check the height in the specification table: some vertical product names give the width first, so "Stelrad Compact With Style 300mm x 1800mm" is an 1800 mm tall radiator, 300 mm wide.
Panel types
- Single K1: one panel, one set of fins.
- Double K2: two panels, two sets of fins. A K2 gives more heat than a K1 at the same size.
- Double P2: listed as "Double P2" on some sizes. Check its depth and output on the product page.
Sizing for output
A lower or narrower radiator gives less heat, so check the numbers. Get an estimate of the room's needs from the BTU calculator, which gives a figure in BTU, and compare it with each product's listed output. Each product page shows its rated output, and the test condition (ΔT) where it is stated. Outputs are only directly comparable when both products state the same ΔT.
