A metric range with a simple size grid
The Premier HE Metric range uses three heights and a run of widths, so you can choose the height that suits the wall and then the width whose listed output meets the room's needs. Sizes are written as height × width, for example 600 × 1000 mm.
Replacing an older radiator measured in inches? Look at the Myson Premier HE Imperial range, which lists each size in inches with the metric equivalent.
How to choose
1. Work out the output you need
Use the BTU calculator for an estimate, in BTU, of the heat the room needs. Compare it with the output on each product. Each product page shows its rated output, and the test condition (ΔT) where it is stated. Outputs are only directly comparable when both products state the same ΔT.
2. Pick the height
Measure the space under your window sill before you choose a height. At the same width, a taller radiator in this range gives more heat, which helps where wall width is short.
3. Pick the panel type
Myson's own pages describe its panels by Type number; the product names here use the K1, P Plus and K2 names.
- Type 11 (single convector, listed as K1): one panel, one set of fins.
- Type 21 (double panel extra, listed as P Plus): two panels, one set of fins.
- Type 22 (double convector, listed as K2): two panels, two sets of fins. In this range, a K2 gives the most heat at each size.
4. Check the fit
Measure the depth available and the position of your pipework, especially if a sofa or curtains sit close to the wall.
Finish
Every radiator in this range is RAL 9016 traffic white.
