Softline sizes at a glance
The range runs from 300 mm up to 700 mm high, with widths from 400 to 2000 mm. Each product name gives the size and panel type, for example "Stelrad Softline 450mm x 1000mm Double P Plus", with the height first.
K1, P Plus or K2?
Searches for Softline often name the panel type, so here is how they differ.
Single K1
A single panel with one set of convector fins, and the lowest output of the three at a given size.
Double P Plus
Two panels with one set of fins. P Plus sits between K1 and K2 on output.
Double K2
Two panels with two sets of fins. In every Softline size offered as both, the K2 lists a higher output than the K1.
Sizing the radiator to the room
Get an estimate of the heat the room needs from our BTU calculator, which gives a figure in BTU, then compare it with the output in each product listing. Each product page shows its rated output, and the test condition (ΔT) where it is stated. Outputs are only directly comparable when both products state the same ΔT.
If you are replacing an existing radiator, measure its height, width and depth and note where the pipes come out of the wall.
Other Stelrad panel ranges
Softline sits alongside the Stelrad Elite and Stelrad Vita Compact ranges. Compare them in the Stelrad collection, or use the radiator finder to search every brand by size and output.
