How an LST radiator is built
An LST radiator is a panel radiator inside a protective casing. This page does not give surface temperatures, and it does not say where LST radiators are required.
For the surface temperature of a particular model and the conditions it applies to, refer to the manufacturer's data sheet. For advice on where LST radiators are needed, ask a qualified heating engineer or your project's specifier.
The ranges we list
- Stelrad LST and Stelrad LST Standard: the largest part of this collection, mostly horizontal.
- Myson LST, LST Super and LST Super Plus: Myson's LST family, often searched by name.
- Purmo LST: Purmo's LST radiators, listed by panel type.
- Wallace and Squires Highgate: an LST option in this collection.
Browse the Stelrad collection, the Myson collection or the Purmo collection to see each brand's other radiators.
How to choose
Output
Size an LST radiator from its own listed output, not from the output of the panel inside or of a similar uncovered panel. Get an estimate of the heat the room needs from our BTU calculator, which gives a figure in BTU. Each product page shows its rated output, and the test condition (ΔT) where it is stated. Outputs are only directly comparable when both products state the same ΔT.
Size
Use the LST product's own dimensions on the product page, then measure the wall and the space in front of it.
Orientation
Most LST radiators are horizontal; a few vertical models are listed.
Installation and specification
Follow the manufacturer's installation instructions for each model. If your project has a specified requirement, confirm it with the specifier and a qualified heating engineer before you order.
